A crazy travel schedule amidst SS13 sampling… Just back from LA yesterday (post to follow!), off to Colorado on Thursday and then to Charleston, SC next week to visit one of our all-time-favorite retailers, Hampden Clothing.
Stacy Smallwood set up shop in 2007 and we love her and her store. We’re excited to head South with old friend & rad designer, Timo Weiland, and chill in Charleston:
If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by. Hampden throws an awesome party & the store has some amazing (APC, Rachel Comey, Alexander Wang & the like) new arrivals for Fall … I’ll be shopping!
Wishing a HUGE congratulations to our dear friends Max & Erin at SUNO for their CFDA nomination.
They look awesome on the Vogue.com homepage; Erin is rocking one of my favorite looks from the Suno R’13 collection along with some LFJ bangles.
The wood & onyx bangle Erin’s wearing is a piece I designed with Isreali woodturner, Arthur Kemelman. It’s Indian rosewood individually hand-set with bronze bezels and onyx cabochons. An all time fav.
Congrats guys. We think you’re AMAZING!
Last weekend we hauled rugs, tables, and lots of food to the lovely roof of our new office space. It was the perfect summer gathering to say hello to friends we hadn’t seen in a while and goodbye to our great friend (& stellar lookbook model) Apolonia, who departs to Mexico City next week.
These rooftop get-togethers need to become more regular. The scene was delightful:
It was wonderful getting so many of my creative friends together (Elisa of DR, Maryam of MNZ, her darling daughter Anais, Piera from R29, Bernadette of Decade Diary … the list goes on), and catching up on such a beautiful evening.
One of those nights that makes you love New York:
Apo … Kabs & I can’t wait to come visit you in Mexico City!
Adore the W Magazine.com story that Tina Huynh recently did on long earrings. Check out our FW12 “Blanc Tassel Earrings” that she included (thank you for the shout out Tina!):
They’ll be available at Kirna Zabete very soon!
I fully endorse this long earring trend. Perhaps I’m biased because long earrings and short hair are a match made in heaven, but I’ve been wearing this trend all summer, particularly with party dresses.
I wore our Resort’13 “San Blaus” blue goldstone, onyx, and opal stone earrings to Jenny & Joe’s Jamaica wedding and the Resort’13 white “Surf Tassel” earrings to Pat & Kaia’s wedding celebration a few weeks ago.
They were perfect for dancing the night away!
You’ll be able to pre-order these Resort styles at Moda Operandi in the coming weeks. Keep you posted!
prints to make you think on a Monday:
Kathryn’s in St. Tropez!
