Summertime & The Sporting Project

We spent a beautiful (& bittersweet) few days at Wen’s house outside of the City this past weekend.

The house, pool, food and company were divine, but we were bidding adieu to our close friends Jenny & Tara (mentioned too many times on this blog to count!). The lovely gals are off to the City of Lights to work on The Sporting Project — their creative agency that merges fashion, food & culture.

We had the best time frolicking like children and cooking up a storm; the perfect summer weekend with our wonderful friends:

After years and years at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jenny & Tara are going off on their own and will inevitably make a BANG, after all, these girls are beautiful and unstoppable!

Our other favorite lady, interior & graphic design genius – Kate Dougherty, recently created a video that you can view on their site. I adore Tara hoola-hooping and Jenny on her bike…

In addition to creating this adorable video for The Sporting Project, Kate has worked on movie sets (Moonrise Kingdom!), designed restaurants, decorated interiors, and worked on some killer spreads for yours truly.

I love all these talented ladies!

Jenny & Tara, I’ve never been so excited for Paris market and till then we’ll be living with you vicariously through Kate’s video. And Wen, thank you for a delightful weekend away.

Here’s to summertime and BIG adventures.

XO

Fresh Start

We are finally getting settled into our new office space with our friends at Dieppa Restrepo and couldn’t be happier. We have a beautiful showroom area (where we just finished showing Resort ’13) as well as some seriously organized work space. Amen to fresh starts.

Blank slate:

What a wonderful environment to be working on Spring13 in…Couldn’t be happier!

Fox Fodder Taylor

Remember my floral-designer friend Taylor, who’s been known to whip up spectacular meals on her roof?…

Well… In addition to her day job at her floral design studio, Fox Fodder Farm, where she creates the most charming arrangements & flower crowns she’s also quite the painter!

She recently participated in an art show in our hometown in Delaware. Check out her beautiful paintings; I’m obsessed with the grasses in front of the sky.

Taylor’s paintings make me want to live in a place like this:

Bravo to my favorite renaissance woman. XO

Pretty Friends

2 of my close friends – Apolonia & Melodi – modeled our Resort13 collection and damn, did they look good:

Stay tuned for more pictures!

I have been

so insanely busy: moving offices, finishing Resort’13, playing with Melodi (her ‘fortune finds’ will be posted on e-commerce soon!), and enjoying summer.

More to come soon!
