Not only did we head West for a fantastic event at Metier, but also to visit our brother Alex, who recently relocated from LA to SF, with our good friend Laird (remember, the one who brought back beads from Africa, here).

The weekend turned into a reunion of sorts: We visited with college friends (who are working at Google, trekking on Everest, studying at Stanford, and one who’s expecting!) and with high school friends as far-flung as Hawaii. We convened at Alex & Laird’s incredible live/work space on Clementina Street, where they are developing iPhone Apps and having a generally awesome time.

The high school crew (minus a few)!
It was amazing that all of us (once) East Coast kids were able to rendezvous for a weekend in SF. From Delaware to China, Africa, Hawaii, NYC, LA & Northern California, it’s like we never missed a beat:

together again!
In addition to enjoying some epic catch-ups, we had a ball exploring the SF ‘hoods, especially Hayes Valley and its food trucks:

a shot of downtown from our SOMA-based hotel // meat, coffee, and pizza trucks in hayes valley
…Pacific Heights with it’s vertical streets and breathtaking views, and the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero where I got some Blue Bottle coffee and we discovered sublime french toast at The Plant Cafe:

blue sky and the ferry building // susan kathryn and me pre-brunch // casey and tom - counting down the days // mom and kathryn sun bathing in pac heights // Blue bottle coffee - unbeatable.
For St. Paddy’s Day, Laird grilled up some ribs, Alex roasted 2 chickens, Kali made green jello, and a second Villalon showed up. Best St. Patrick’s Day ever (no competition there though)!

Recovery from the jello and the Creative Project’s “Cube” took place at Rodeo Beach, where the wind was blowing and the dogs were in heaven. This followed by chowder & oysters at Fish. in Sausalito where I was in heaven.

Thank you to Alex & Laird for being the most fun young entrepreneurs I know. We’ll be back very soon.
This past Friday, we had an event with an all-time-FAVORITE retailer, Metier.
The San Fran store stocks perfectly edited selections from Isabel Marant, Demylee, Alexander Wang, Suno, Golden Goose, Phillip Crangi and the like, not to mention a phenomenal assortment of estate jewelry I was lusting after.
Metier is shopping perfection: beautiful displays; big glass jewelry cases; a sales staff you want to be friends with & dress like; and a website that is as cool as the store.

Lindsay models on the Metier homepage (replete with some beautiful estate pieces) // The storefront // Metier's website is as fabulous as the shop itself. Check out www.metiersf.com
I snagged a pair of rose-printed Current Elliot Jeans & a little pink sweater for springtime while sipping Pimm’s Cups with some SF-based shoppers. From the cocktails to the flowers to Trina’s insane collages, it was pretty much perfection:

floral denim from Current Elliott. Reminds me of when I was a kid!

(Clockwise from Top Left): In good company. The Lizzie Fortunato SS12 lookbook sits with other covetable Spring catalogues, Illesteva glasses, and a Pimm's cup! // Lindsay models a selection of Lizzie Fortunato; I love the disco + T-bar combo // a "Trina" collage hangs above a mid-century orange bench I'd like to own // Flower arrangements to compliment our "Desert House" SS12 theme
Check out the green & white striped straws (Above) and the driftwood in the case (Below)…

Artistic collages (complete with photographs of eames chairs and scraps of leather) decorate the walls // the Lizzie Fortunato SS12 collection sits under-case with pieces of wood and tree bark
Did I mention how cool our SF-based fans are? We met art critics and bloggers, another twin, and one gal whose tortoise glasses and leather-banded hat made me green with envy. We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd & can’t wait to do it again.

Thank you for your support SF!
XO L&K
The best thing that happened in the office last week?
Tracey got shoes with her name on them:

No words to express my fondness for Tracey or her shoes.
Just back from SF; Very complete post to follow…
