To the New Year

Happy New Year! It’s hard to think about the beginning of the year when I’m so focused on the Fall / Winter ’12 season.

This darling ‘resolution calendar’ sent to us & designed by our website creator, Linseed Projects, brought me back to the reality of entering a new year.

I particularly love May, travel somewhere unexpected… perhaps an inspiration trip is in order? And August, my birthday month, couldn’t be more relevant: be on time. That’s one lofty resolution for this girl!

Paradise

Last week I traveled with Peter and his family to Staniel Cay in the Exumas. It was paradise: empty beaches, crystal waters, ham-sandwich picnics, and a yacht club with pina coladas so good I forgot about 40 degree NYC and all the work I left behind.

Staniel Cay is home to the famous Staniel Cay Yacht Club – a must-stop for boaters in the Bahamas. The cay’s stunning grottos (which we snorkeled into) were the backdrop for the 1965 007 classic, Thunderball.

I packed light: bikinis from Marysia Swim & a one-piece from Phillip Lim; my kindle; Sol Moscot sunglasses, and some Turkish towels … all I needed for this divine holiday break!

Thank you to Hank and Joanne and the SCYC for good sandwiches, great drinks, and serious relaxation!

 

Fall Design & Winter Whirlwind.

Wow. We have been so busy, with hardly a moment to breathe. Fortunately, on Monday, I am headed here:

The past few weeks have been packed with design, preparation for pre-fall and fall, and a great trip to Chicago for mom’s birthday & an in-store visit with P.45 to usher in our resort collection:
